Sustainable Development of Air Transport

This module equips participants with knowledge to analyse the environmental issues associated and its impacts on air transport industry. It also enables participants to examine the latest designs and operations from aviation companies and its strategies towards sustainable development in the industry.

 

Learning outcome:

  • Describe climate change from aviation perspective and the environmental impacts on air transport
  • Evaluate the importance of climate change mitigation as an environmental issue in air transport
  • Examine how airline, airport, aircraft and airspace operations and design contribute to sustainable development
  • Appraise air transport enterprise’s strategy and corporate social responsibility towards sustainable development

 

This course is one of the modules of Advanced Master in Air Transport Management and allows participants to take the module separately.

MATF-approved Programme

Eligible applicants may apply for refund of 80% of fees after completing this approved course, subject to a maximum of HKD30,000, under the Professional Training and Examination Refund Scheme (ProTERS) of Maritime and Aviation Training Fund (MATF).  For details, please refer to the MATF session or http://www.matf.gov.hk

Participants who achieved an attendance rate of 75% or above would be awarded a Certificate of Attendance
